Saniel is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Mirae Asset ESG India Sector Leader Equity Fund, Mirae Asset ESG Emerging Asia ex China Equity Fund and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Mirae Asset ESG Asia Sector Leader Equity Fund. In addition, he manages the firm’s India Solomon Fund and India Discovery Fund. Saniel is also responsible for research analysis covering the regional Health Care, Energy, and Utilities sectors.
Saniel began his career with KPMG (BSR and Co., India) in 2005 as Senior Auditor. He then worked at Morgan Stanley Mumbai from 2007 to 2014 as Equity Research Associate. He was a key member of the team covering the Indian Pharmaceutical sector. The team won the Second Place Prize in the Institutional Investors Survey for two consecutive years (2012 and 2013). He joined Mirae Asset Global Investments (Hong Kong) Limited in 2014 to anchor coverage of the Asia regional Health Care sector.
Saniel holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce from the University of Mumbai in India and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. He speaks English and Hindi.
